Over the last few years our growing tribe has really come to enjoy getting dressed up for Halloween as a family. It has turned into this bonding activity that has been a lot of fun to prep + prepare for on that spooky night. Halloween is slowly becoming one of our favorite holidays!
When we first decided to do a family costume, it really did feel like quite the research project. Searching Pinterest to find the right “look” that was a good fit for the number of us did take some time. Sooo I decided to help you out and make a list all of our family costumes over the last several years right here on the blog! [you’re welcome…]

- I made Hei Hei’s costume from sweatpants + fabric but I linked an actual costume since more have been put out there since doing this family costume.
- We wanted to stay culturally appropriate for Maui so we choose to dress my husband up as Maui in the scene where he turns into a shark.
- For Tafiti’s costume I bought all green clothes and just pinned the greenery to the costume!
